UX in Daily Life

The way I think about UX professionally flows into how I solve problems within my daily life. I don’t how it happened or when - Maybe you can relate!

A Plant Pop-Up

I had too many plants. They were in good condition and the right home was potentially out there. With a little water for good luck, I moved a group of them to the sidewalk and placed them on a cart with a sign printed from my home-computer. Features within the sign included: a scannable QR code linked to my directly to Venmo profile, and $0 - $40 bar with hand-drawn indicators to suggest pricing.

Simple but effective, the combination of features offered an intuitive and user-friendly interface that require minimal offer to navigate and understand. My plant pop-up sold out and made $110 in 4 hours.

My Sister’s Wedding Flowers

In college, I worked in a flower shop over Winter Break. My sister knew I remembered the basics for care. We talked about the design, “Do you think we can just do my wedding flowers ourselves?”.

Yes, definitely.
